Review: Crystal Genie by Opal Carew

Review by Marissa.

Crystal Genie is an interesting story. I found it interesting that Celeste was absorbed by the crystal and part of her knew that life as she knew it was going to change. Crystal Genie had a twist from the normal genie in a bottle story. This genie was in a crystal, and there is a time limit on the wishes. Celeste has only three days to make the three wishes, which was interesting.

Review: The Wine Seekers by Linda Bilodeau

Review by Marissa

The Wine Seekers is not my typical read, by Linda Bilodeau did a wonderful job capturing my attention and keeping it to the very end. The story is set in the 1900’s and it was the perfect setting. I normally do not read Historical Romances, so when I read that this took place in 1900’s I almost passed on it. However after reading The Wine Seekers, I am glad I did.

The Wine Seekers is a bittersweet tale Nicola Romolo’s journey, dreams, and harsh realities.

Review: Can’t Stand the Heat by Wynter Daniels

Review by Marissa

Can’t Stand the Heat is spicy. I have to say I loved the title, it reminded me of the old saying if you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen. Since both Marissa and Billy are amazing chefs it is a perfect fit.

Marissa and Billy have an off and on relationship mainly because Billy is a gambling addict, who has lied to and broken Marissa’s heart more times then she can remember.

Review: "Saving Tampa" by Jo Webnar

Review by Marissa

Saving Tampa by Jo Webnar is a highly addictive and fast past novel that you won’t be able to put down. It’s an exciting story, with elements of terrorism and romance.

All her life Rachel Cunningham has the gift (or curse) of second sight. Rachel has always looked at this as more of a curse, her visions are a draining experience, and have always made her feel like a victim. I loved Rachel’s gift, and thought she could do wonderful things with it like she did in the book.

Review: "Let Sleeping Demons Lie" by Maree Anderson

Review by Marissa

Let Sleeping Demons Lie is book 2 in the Demon series by Maree Anderson, but it could be read as a stand alone book. When I started reading this I didn’t know it was the second in the series, and I didn’t have any problems. It was a great page turning book and had me wanting more. Now I will need to get the first one.

Brennan, a Prime Lion find a sleeping women under a tree in the Lycan Realm.

Review: "Boning Up" by Summer Alan

Review by Marissa

Boning Up by Summer Alan was a wonderful novella. It made me wonder where those tutors where when I was in college. It was super steamy and the interactions between Brock, and Carly were enchanting. I couldn’t put it down.

Carly is a spirited student who has worked way too hard to let a her snotty, know it all professor get the best of her. Brock comes along and places a bet that he can get Carly to ace her final two exams if the professor will give him a letter of recommendation.
