Under construction

We’ve been experiencing some technical difficulties with Romancing the Book today.  We’re currently trying to figure out what the issue is and therefore, the blog is under construction.  We hope to have it fixed and looking normal soon. If you come across any issues or broken links, feel free to email Jen at admin.bookblog AT

Thank you for your understanding.

A Special Offer for Authors

Many of our readers are probably acquainted with the e-bookstore All Romance Ebooks.  And you may have heard about their closing and basically how they’re screwing a lot of authors.  If you haven’t, here are a few articles to check out:

Tymber Dalton
Smart Bitches, Trashy Books

There are plenty more articles out there and they’re easy enough to find if you want more information.

Happy Holidays

The staff of Romancing the Book would like to wish everyone a belated Happy Holidays.

We also wanted to apologize for having been quiet the last week or so.  We’ve been experiencing some technical difficulties with our web host as well as taking a much needed break.

Over the next month we’ll be posting the occasional review as well as a few other items.  At this time, we plan on being back to our regular guests in February… but stay tuned as plans may change.

Holiday Hiatus

The staff of Romancing the Book is taking a short hiatus during the month of December.  We’ll still post some reviews and we have a contest or two lined up, but we won’t have any guests or regular posts during the month.  We are going to take the time off to do some behind the scenes work, but to also allow us to enjoy our holiday season.

While we’re taking this day off, here are some items for you to ponder:

  • We are currently booking promotions for 2015.

Happy New Year

The staff of Romancing the Book would like to wish all readers a Happy New Year.  We thank each and every one of you for your support and we’re looking forward to a great 2014.

As an FYI, we’re taking the month of January off from promotions to focus on reviews.  There will be very few contests happening during this month.  But we’ll be back in February with a full slate of guests and contests.

That said, we’re looking for a few new reviewers.

Vacation time

For the last two weeks of November (17th through 30), the Romancing the Book staff will be taking a mini vacation.  We will not be posting any promotions, however we will still have reviews posting daily.  There still are a couple contests running, which can be found in the sidebar.

We’ll be back in December with our December holiday event, It’s Snowing Men.  There are a couple open dates for this event.  If you’re an author with a holiday book you’d like to promote, please email Jen at

RtB Changes & Job Openings

First off, we have a new RSS feeds.  Yay!  The old ones should have transferred.  But if you’re no longer getting our feed, please use the icon in the top right sidebar to resubscribe.

We also have a new mailing list.  If you’d like to receive an email with an update on all our posts, or you’d like to have specialized emails for just reviews or contests, the sign up is in the sidebar.  If you get the all post newsletter, there is no need to subscribe to the others.

Feedburner is going away…. now what?

For those of you who either own blogs or follow a number of them, you’ve probably been hearing a lot about Feedburner of late.  So what is Feedburner?  It’s a Google owned product that many blogs use to allow you to follow our blogs either by RSS or email subscriptions.  Romancing the Book has been using Feedburner for years, but now we’re being told that as of October 20, 2012, some of it’s features will no longer be in service.

Entering contests at RtB

Just an FYI…

Moving forward, when entering a contest at RtB, you don’t have to leave your email address in your comment, because you have to include it as part of your sign in process to leave a comment.  The email address will only be seen by our administration.  But, if you’re entering a contest, be sure to use a valid email and one that you check regularly so that you don’t miss out on a potential win.

We’re moving to WordPress

As of Friday morning (April 27), Romancing the Book will be moving a move from Blogger to WordPress.  You’ll see a few cosmetic changes and the commenting section will be slightly different, but for the most part your visit to RtB shouldn’t be affected.  There may be a slight disruption in “service” on Friday morning as everything is moved, but it should be relatively short and over by noon (eastern).

After the move, if you happen to come across any broken links or glitches, please let Jen know at  We hope that this will be a positive move for everyone and we apologize in advance for any inconveniences you may experience on Friday morning.
