Today we welcome Andrea into the reviewer spotlight. Andrea has been on our staff since December 2012 and her reviews can be read here. Funny story, Andrea came to RtB because of her mother, who is one of my co-workers at the day job. Turns out we live in the same city, but have never met. We’ll remedy that one of these days.
Jen: Do you prefer reading on an e-reader or traditional print?
Andrea: When e-readers first came out, I swore I would never use one. Now I can’t live without it. I definitely LOVE print books and I have a list of authors that I buy in print, but most of my books are now electronic.
Jen: What is your favorite genre? Why? Is there something you won’t read?
Andrea: My favorite genre right now is paranormal romance. I never thought about why but as I was reading today I realized that I have a thing for alpha males. An alpha male can be in any genre but there is nothing like an alpha shifter or vampire. I’ll read just about anything but sci-fi. And non-fiction. I don’t read non-fiction.
Jen: If you found yourself on a deserted island and were only allowed to have four authors complete works, who would they be?
Andrea: Karen Marie Moning, Nora Roberts, Margaret George, Sandra Brown, Dianna Gabaldon
Jen: What made you want to become a reviewer?
Andrea: I love book and I love romance. It was a perfect fit!
Jen: Have you ever met any authors?
Andrea: I’m friends with a writer who just released his first book and I have meet another local author, but no one really big.
Jen: If you could sit down with any author for two hours, who would it be? What would you talk about?
Andrea: Margaret George. First of all, she is my favorite author and she has already led a fascinating life. I’d love to hear about her travels and how she researches her subjects.
Jen: If you could be a character in a book, who would you be?
Andrea: Claire Randall Fraser from the Outlander series. She is smart, beautiful and she gets to be in bed with Jamie Fraser, who melts my heart with every sentence he utters. I am SO looking forward to the book to finally be brought to life!
Jen: What do you like to do when reading? Have a snack? Curl up on the couch?
Andrea: 99% of the time when I am reading, I am curled up in bed. That is where I like to read the best. I like for it to be quiet and I like to be alone.
Jen: Tell us a little about you. What you do for a living, family, something we may not expect.
Andrea: I am married, mother of two. I am a stay at home Mom and I own my own blog. Something unexpected about me…..I up and moved to from Spokane, WA to New Orleans to live with my boyfriend who I met online and only chatted with for 6 months. He and I have been married for 15 years now. :)
