Review: My bedside table is home to a lot of electronics.  There are cords everywhere; all competing for their chance to get plugged in to be charged.  There’s only so much room in my power strip to plug them in, so I’ve been contemplating getting a charging station.  So when I was asked to review this one, it was really a no-brainer decision.

When looking a the photos and the description saying that it’s a 6 USB dock, I was expecting something so much bigger.  Fact of the matter, it’s height is shorter than my phone.  And the width is not much wider than the USB ports.  This is such a huge plus since I wasn’t really wanting one more big electronic object on my bedside table.

It comes with directions, but really setting up and using this Charging Station is pretty simple.  Plug the power cord into the station and your outlet and then it’s ready for you to start plugging in your devices.  It does have some of the USB ports labeled for devices such as your iPad, iPhone, Smartphone.  However, each and every port really is the same.  In fact, I have my kindle plugged into the iPad port.

The nice thing about this port is that it allows you to charge ALL devices that are charged with a USB port.  Right now I have my phone, kindle and a pair of wireless headphones charging.  But I can also plug in my iPod, bluetooth speaker, camera… the list goes on.  In the past I either had to have a plug that had a USB port or I had to charge via my laptop, which is not the most convenient way to charge.  So to be able to plug up to 6 devices into one Charging Station is really convenient, and honestly lessens the cords.

There’s nothing I would really change about the Charging Station itself.  It’s meeting all my expectations with helping me wrangle cords, giving me a central location to charge items, and charge them quickly.  In all honesty, the ONE thing that I missed was that it didn’t come with a USB cord or two.  I know most of us have excessive cords sitting around, but I was finding wanting a shorter cord since I now wasn’t having to stretch a cord from a plug to a tabletop.

All this said, I’m super happy with my Charging Station and would happily recommend it to anyone who is looking for such a device.
