Katee: New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Katee Robert learned to tell her stories at her grandpa’s knee. She found romance novels at age twelve and they changed her life. When not writing sexy contemporary and romantic suspense, she spends her time playing imaginary games with her children, driving her husband batty with what-if questions, and planning for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.

Jen: Please tell us about your newest release and where the idea came from.
Katee: My newest release is called Fool Me Once and it’s a story about a cowboy and a borderline-agoraphobic gamer girl. The idea was spawned years ago, and it started with the heroine, Aubry. She’s mean and snarly and has a list of irrational fears as long as her arm. I always wanted to write a road trip story, so throwing her and a big, sexy, snarky cowboy into a truck and setting them on their way was pure heaven for me.

Jen: What was your most romantic date?
Katee: He took me to a local theme park and we spent 4 hours floating in the lazy river and talking.

Jen: Favorite flavor of ice cream?
Katee: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Jen: Favorite sport to watch?
Katee: Football. Go Seahawks! 😉

Jen: Favorite gift received from a fan?
Katee: A baby blanket for Tiny Dictator before he was born.

Jen: What is your guilty pleasure?
Katee: Red Vines

Jen: How neat is your work environment?
Katee: It’s a disaster zone.

Jen: What was the last movie you saw in the theatre?
Katee: X-men Apocalypse

Jen: What TV family would you want to be a part of?
Katee: The Lannisters. Yep, I said it. They have a better survival rate than the Starks so far.

Jen: Describe your writing style in one word.
Katee: Hectic.

Jen: Do you have a mentor?
Katee: Not formally. I have friends who are ahead of me in the writing journey and their advice is always welcome.

Jen: Camping or hotel?
Katee: Hotel. WiFi.

Jen: iPhone or android?
Katee: iPhone.

Jen: What’s next for you?
Katee: I have the final book in the Foolproof Love series coming out in October, and I’ll be continuing my O’Malley series into next year. I am also starting a brand new romantic suspense series in January. The first book is called The Devil’s Daughter.
