Jen: Today we welcome Sarah Ballance to Romancing the Book. Sarah, will you share a short bio with us?
Sarah: Sarah and her husband of what he calls “many long, long years” live on the mid-Atlantic coast with their six young children, all of whom are perfectly adorable when they’re asleep. She never dreamed of becoming an author, but as a homeschooling mom, she often jokes she writes fiction because if she wants anyone to listen to her, she has to make them up. As it turns out, her characters aren’t much better than the kids, but nevertheless, you’ll find her writing sexy contemporary romance for Entangled Publishing until they throw her out.
Jen: Please tell us about your newest release and where the idea came from.
Sarah: THE THREE-WEEK ARRANGEMENT was SUCH an accident. When I wrote the first book in what would become the Chase Brothers series, the brothers were backstory for my hero. Until the editorial director read the book and decided the Chase men definitely needed to be a thing, which was great, except it left me with Ethan–a young widower who still loved his wife–needing a story in a romantic comedy series. Ethan is one of those guys who loves with his whole heart, but after such a huge loss, he’s especially vulnerable. Rue’s passion as a conservation photographer takes her all over the world. She doesn’t want to be tied down, and he’s done with goodbyes. Getting them together was a challenge, but the result is a lot of heartwarming, funny moments I hope will leave readers breathing blissful sighs.
