Love knows no boundaries… it doesn’t know the different between gender or race. Love is unconditional, unflinching and unyielding… and with the right person it can and always will be amazing. The love story in this collection of erotic poetry follows the journey of two people through their ups and downs… who never give up on each other, their happiness or the love they feel for one another. Dive into the world of erotic poetry where love and passion comes to life.

Review:  The first time I read something written by Cara Downey, it was a two-volume set described as a collection of erotic poetry.

Those two volumes have been repackaged into one book under the title: Boundaries of the Heart: An Erotic BDSM Poetry Collection. My first impression is that the cover art is fantastic and really sets the tone for the contents. Although described as a collection of erotic poetry, I’m more inclined to think of it as erotic short stories with a strong element of BDSM included.

With both volumes now in one, the reader has more of an opportunity to get into the material. Previously, the first volume was only 69 pages. There are no names used, but the book focuses on a man and a woman obviously in a BDSM relationship. The author uses graphic descriptions in setting the stage for various topics ranging from punishment to being collared. To me, there is a lot of pride and joy communicated in the language used to tell the story of a Dominant and his submissive.

Even with the repackaging, the editor in me still wanted to do some additional clean-up work from a grammatical standpoint. Although the errors weren’t enough to cause a major distraction, it was still surprising to find two significant errors on the table of contents page.

This might not be first choice of erotic reading material, but the author presented a well-researched look into the BDSM lifestyle with plenty of heat added.

  1. Amy, Thank you very much for the review… I truly did enjoy writing the third book in the collection just as much as I did the first two books.

I am sorry to hear there are two errors that have been missed… I will speak with my publisher to review over the table of contents and have those errors corrected.

    Thanks again, 😀
