A SCANDALOUS TEMPTATION
Andrew Lochlannach is famous for his conquests, on and off the battlefield. When a fellow warrior challenges him to a kissing contest, he wastes no time in planting his lips on ninety-nine lovely lasses-an impressive feat of seduction that gets him banished to the hinterlands. Still, Andrew has no regrets about his exploits-especially his embrace with the most beguiling woman he’s ever met…
AN UNDENIABLE PASSION
With flaming red hair and a temper to match, Susana is not some innocent farmgirl who gives herself over easily to a man, even one as ruggedly handsome as Andrew. The wicked Scot may have won a kiss from the headstrong beauty in a moment of mutual desire, but Susana refuses to be just another one of his conquests. Andrew must convince the fiery lass that even though he is not playing a game, losing her is not an option…
Review: When reading books within a series there is always that chance that if you enjoyed the first one the next one or two seem to not live up to what is expected. Or the first isn’t that good but as the series goes on they become better.
In this instance, I simply enjoyed the first one Hannah and the Highlander so much I set the expectations for this one pretty high. But Ms. York came through for me. I loved Susana’s story just as much as I did Hannah’s and I look forward to the next one.
Susana and Andrew made a formidable couple. They complimented each other as a couple. I enjoyed how once again Ms. York subtly showed how dense guys really can be. Come on man! How many women did you actually sleep with after the one that stole your heart and you can’t seem to get over made such an impact on you that you don’t even notice her years later even with the subtle changes.
The sparring between the two was like foreplay. It always makes for an enjoyable story when you throw in a young child. Especially one as precocious as this one was. Right from the start she stole the story. Isobel was cute as a button.
Susana was someone easy to relate to. She stood her ground showing that even without a man she could hold her own. Raising her daughter to be independent also showed the depth she had as a woman.
I enjoyed how the romance between the two played out as there was so much passion from the start how could Andrew not know that Sabrina was the one he loved all those years. I loved the fire, the heat, the chemistry.
Ms. York hit this out of the park for another home run. I am simply in love with these characters. I can easily wrap myself into the story…find myself a part of it…and never want to leave. I was able to visualize all that was going on and once again found myself longing to go back to visit Ireland and Scotland.
Grab your favorite drink as your curl up into your comfy spot and fall in love with Sabrina and Andrew along with that little imp Isobel. It is also nice to find out how the other characters are doing. Even though this is a series each story can defiantly stand on its own.
