Justin Holleman, the Duke of Dinnisfree, is used to being wanted—in bed, for missions, and even dead. He’s protected his country more times than he can remember, gaining enemies along the way, but he failed to defend himself from the past that hardened his heart. Instead, he became an expert at shutting people out. Yet now, in order to save the king, Justin needs to let go of his old ways and let someone closer to him than ever before. He approaches the mission with his classic cold calculation, but his fiery new ally upends his ordered world and entices him at every turn. Suddenly he’s in danger of compromising his assignment and losing his heart, two things the rogue swore never to do.

Desperate to protect her parents from poverty, among other things, Miss Arabella Carthright unwittingly becomes a pawn in a dangerous political battle when she agrees to aid an enigmatic stranger. Having learned long ago to count only on herself, she’s surprised when time and again the duke actually aids her. But when his true assignment becomes clear, Arabella realizes the man she’s come to care for poses the greatest threat to those she loves.

As Justin and Arabella face their feelings and their web of deception falls away, they must decide how high a price they are willing to pay for love and loyalty.

Review:  I choose this historical romance novel because of it’s enticing cover and enchanting synopsis. I was curious to find out more about Duke Justin and Arabella Cartwright. Julie Johnstone has taken two unlikely characters that would never have met and brought them together under certain life circumstances. I found it highly entertaining to watch as the two bickered and flirted openly with one another. The way fate has pushed them together to solve what was one issue for each of them turned out to be a chain of events that all link closely together. The Dangerous Duke of Dinnisfree is indeed just that. A most dangerous Duke who has the power to change Arabella’s life as she knows it. Maybe, she will end up changing his too.

The Dangerous Duke of Dinnisfree by Julie Johnstone is a remarkable romance that readers will instantly love after the first page. I couldn’t put the book down and within a short time, I finsihed reading the entire story. A dangerous yet most adventurous novel I have ever read. An innocent young beauty doing all that she can to save her family from ruin even risking her body to help her mother out. Then there’s the Duke who is all business and no nonsense. But after meeting Arabella, he finds that she’s the most intriguing woman he’s ever meet, and he wants her more than he’s ever wanted any woman. Can they trust one another to save each other and those they care about before it’s too late? Or will the Duke end of loosing Arabella before he has time to decide how he feels about her?

Readers will fall in love with both characters and their one mission soon turns to many that are linked to one another. They both will learn a shocking truth and their lives will forever be changed. Juile Johnstone has beautifully woven together an unforgettable romance that will continue to lure readers into its plot. Danger, suspense, and the firery heat will keep readers up reading into the night. Overall, I highly recommend this spectacular novel and rate it a five out of five stars.
