Review: This is the final part to the Reborn series by Ms. Durand.  I was able to finally get answers to some question left out there in the open. Before going any further you may want to pick up the first two shorts, Reborn to Die and Reborn to Burn, before reading Reborn to Avenge as you may find yourself lost within these short installments.

I enjoyed the connection between the characters and the revelation of their past connection of guardian/lovers. It brings a bit of depth into this story which kept me interested. I was once again a little disappointed in the lack of description within the frame of the story. Short stories tend to fall short in that aspect at times as the author either develops the characters or creates a more vivid story.

In this story I really liked how the secondary characters were more rounded bringing them into the story to show their connection to both Jake and Dawn. Vahl wants Dawn for his own and within this story we soon learn the twist and I can say I didn’t see this coming.  I also was very surprised with another revelation as Jake seeks help to rescue Dawn.  Well, I can’t tell all the secrets…You will just have to read this three short stories and find out you own answers.

While I found this to be lacking in spots Ms. Durand was able to bring the characters to life.  No pun intended to where I wanted to find out their secrets and I was able to overlook a few things.  All in all was a good read.
