Playlist & Contest: Rachel Van Dyken

RTB7th2

I adore playlists, sometimes I’ll even make a playlist before I start a book. With my latest book, Elude. I added songs I knew would be emotionally jarring while writing and then organized them by chapter once I was finished with the book. If you follow any of my playlists on Spotify you’ll notice that once the book is finished, each song has special meaning for that specific chapter!
Here’s Rachel’s playlist for Elude:

I’m not big on listening to music while I read, but it’s fun to see what an author’s music inspiration is 🙂 thanks for sharing!

I love to see playlists from authors and listen to them, it’s a nice way to learn about different musicians.

This is such a great anniversary, Rachel is one of my favorite authors and to be able to review these books has been an honor..

I usually don’t listen to music when reading. I don’t even like the TV on.
Nice selection. I’m always interested in what songs inspire others whether to write in this case, exercise, etc.

I recognize a few of these, but I’m fascinated how you have songs for specific scenes.
