Review: First of all I want to reiterate that I received this product in exchange for an honest review. The above description is directly from the manufacturer’s Amazon page – I didn’t correct any spelling or formatting errors. That said, I really don’t have anything good to say about this product.

To start with, it arrived in a box with something else I ordered and when I reached in to pull the player out, I cut my finger on the broken blister pack. This wasn’t damage from shipping – it was apparent the product was shipped this way. There was also a dent on the back side of the player. (In fairness, the player was shipped by Amazon, not directly from the manufacturer.) My first thought was that I received a used player, perhaps one someone returned. Considering there were a few files pre-loaded, it is a possibility.

The directions are sparse to the point of me having to figure out how to set the clock on my own as well as how to download songs and photos. The screen is tiny (1-1/8” x 1-3/8”) which I expected and it’s a bit rough – reminiscent of cell phones when they first came out with screens. My photos seem to look pretty good although they’re small so you don’t see a lot of detail.

The reason for getting an MP3 player is to get all the music taking up space on my phone and to have it more portable. This isn’t the device to do that. I loaded 165 songs, some of which were MP3s and some MP4s. Despite the product name, this player does not play MP4s. This is disappointing as MP4 is the standard download for music videos and even songs from my old CDs.

I downloaded various files to test the player – music, photos, videos, text documents and even a PDF. When I plug the player into my computer I can see the files yet only a few show up on the player itself. I’m not able to access anything but the MP3s and JPGs.

In short, this is not worth the time and effort it took to download the files and surely not worth the $25 it’s currently going for. I have never rated anything as low as I am rating this but it is just a piece of shoddy junk you should avoid.
