Review: Normally when reading I jump right into a story. This book was quite confusing to start off. I had a very hard time following which character was telling the story. Playing Dirty is told by about a half a dozen different characters throughout the book. Once I was about a hundred pages into the book I was able to follow along a lot better, and I think that was because at that point I was introduced to all of the characters that were going to be involved.
The plot of the book was introduced quite early in the book and had you wondering who did it, how and if they were going to get caught. From the start of the story we are introduced to Shay and Ford. Shay has had a rough love life but feels an instant connection with Ford. Ford has devoted his life to his job that he hasn’t had the time or felt the necessity to have a serious relationship. That is about to change from the time that he walks into Shay’s life.
The detail throughout the story is very clear and really lets you look into how the two main character’s of Shay and Ford feel about things that are going on in their lives, around them and between them. The chemistry between Shay and Ford lights the pages of this book on FIRE!! It’s lust at first sight that over the short amount they are together they both realize that what they have is not what either of them was looking for when their relationship started but now it is undeniable that they are meant to be together.
Although it was hard to follow at the beginning, it was more than made up for with the plot, and details that are covered throughout the book. I would recommend this book to any reader who likes, romance, suspense and of course the most amazing Alpha males that you will meet.
