Guest & Contest: Secret Identity Anthology

Hi Everyone,

My name is Dominic and my twin sister Domino and I blog for Breathless Press.  The book that I’m here to tell you about is an anthology of superhero stories called Secret Identities.  It’s easier for one of us to chat to you when it’s a collection so that we don’t play favorites with any one author!

You know, it’s a funny thing, but we’ve all wanted super powers at some point.  Personally I wanted to be able to fly and see through walls. Domino wanted to be able to teleport and eat anything without gaining weight.  Of course, the traditional “super powers” aren’t real (sadly), but I believe that every single author has super powers of their own.  After all, we get to create worlds or destroy them.  Mould people in our image or melt them down and recreate them.  We get to toy with their emotions and be puppet master to their lives. We are the Gods of our worlds and that is a very heady power to have indeed.

There are so many super powers that have appeared in many different stories, with slight tweaks here and there and with the deluge of superhero movies over the past few years, it got us thinking about the powers that haven’t been explored yet and why some prove so perennially popular.  Giving our authors free reign to explore the idea of superheroes has lead to a collection of amazing stories.  You won’t be disappointed!

Can’t wait to hear what you think of them.

Chat soon,

Dominic

  1. Johnnie-Marie Howard says:

I’d want the power to freeze everything time included, that way I can move around and go back to the start and have everything done in one day the ability to do more in a day that way.

  2. Jess1 says:

I would want telekinesis so I could move things around and for protection. A more quirky power would be to be able to understand, speak and read all languages.
