The primal call of Mate Claim sparks a battle among the three species of shifters—Wylfen, Feral, & Rogue—and has for generations. These violent feuds incite hunts by humankind, driving shifters near extinction. To protect their people the aristocratic Wylfen ban the practice of Mate Claim. When a Rogue alpha claims a Wylfen female, the mated pair forms a coalition with a Feral male. An alliance is created: Prymal, a new species & pack born of Rogue, Wylfen, & Feral. And war begins…

Tania, a Wylfen aristocrat, hooks up with a stranger right before her twin’s graduation from military college. Hours later, the bottom drops out of her world when she’s introduced to Axe, her twin’s new SEAL instructor. Then she discovers he’s a Feral Wolf, the archenemy of her people. Wylfen laws prohibit her from mating with a half-breed. If anyone finds out she’s mated with Axe, exile is the least she has to fear…

Review: I was asked to review this because this author is guesting on our blog and this book needed to get read and reviewed. I now have a new series that I need to get my hands on when it comes out and I now have yet another author that I get to stalk…..I mean follow…

Shifter books are one of my favorite genres to read. If you read my reviews you know that I also love the harder stuff too (pun intended) but we won’t go there!! I love the whole meeting your mate and allowing the inner wolf decide who their mate is going to be. It’s exciting to me to be able to do that and it makes me happy when characters find their one true mate that they will be with forever. It’s romantic to me.

Hopefully, the reader had read the blurb and can see that the author is having her protagonists dealing with serious problems and insurmountable obstacles. I like that, real life is messy and fraught with lots of messy problems which can either tear a couple apart or bring them closer together.

Tania is a stubborn, tough, fiercely independent woman. She has witnessed how women in her pack are treated all her life and it’s not good. Women put their mate first and the woman’s wants and needs are way down the list, if they are even considered at all. Tania doesn’t want that. She doesn’t want a relationship period. She has only herself to think of and wants to keep it that way. Her growth during this book is a beautiful thing to witness. She learns about herself, how a “normal” relationship is supposed to be, and she discovers a whole new Tania. Not bad

Then we have Axe. He is alpha, he is strong physically and mentally and he’s hotter then the sun. He grows as well during the book. He learns that a relationship has a lot of give and take. He learns how to be patient with his mate while she adjusts to having a mate. He realizes that while being a SEAL is what he needed when he was single, that maybe, there is more then his military career.

There is a lot that happens in this story, and I can’t discuss the story too much because I don’t want to give any of the plot away. Needless to say, the story is rocked out with smokin’ hot love, and a truly entertaining story that I really enjoyed.

I’m looking forward to the next book and learning more about these characters and what happens next.
