Review: If you’ve been following the Inside Out series, His Secrets by Lisa Renee Jones is a novella told from Chris Merit’s point of view.
From a reader’s perspective, I’m getting antsy for the full story. It reminds me of sitting in an ice cream parlor surrounded by frosty treats and being given a toothpick as a utensil.
Any details from this story might put me at risk for revealing a spoiler, so I am simply going to tell you that this is part of a gripping series with characters that continue to evolve as the back story is revealed. Can someone be both good and bad at the same time?
There’s a lot that takes place in this story that fills in some of the gaps from earlier installments, but at the same time, new questions are generated. The series momentum is still very much present, especially if you are following the recommended reading order.
