When Kean wakes up naked, collared and locked in a cell, he knows he has gotten into trouble. Part demon, Kean enjoys scorching sexual liaisons, a habit that has found him trapped, forced to help a demon rescue her daughter from certain death.

Unwilling to aid in anyone’s imprisonment, Araya initially refuses her mother’s “gift,” but the passion simmering between her and Kean is undeniable. As they explore their shared lust, both Araya and Kean enact schemes to save each other. Their best laid plans may awaken emotions that will bind them forever.

Review:  Author Jocelyn Dex brings a fresh paranormal story line to readers in Araya’s Addiction.

The story features Araya, who is part human and part Sempire. She has special needs that threaten her life if they remain unfulfilled. Kean just happens to be in the right place at the wrong time and is forced to help her. Kean has his own secrets, but he finds himself strangely drawn to Araya.

What follows is an entertaining tale featuring demons and shapeshifters. While clearly paranormal in nature, the story line contains elements to appeal to a variety of readers. These are not your typical paranormal characters.

Although it is a quick read, there is plenty of entertainment and humor in the dialog. The heat factor is substantial and provides good support for the story line. As the first in the series, this sexy read sets the bar high for future installments.
