Four years ago, Luke walked out on Affton while he was still sleeping, leaving only a quick “I can’t do this” email behind. Affton has spent those four years focused on his career, a now-successful one at that. So when Affton encounters Luke in the graphics department of the company for which he now works, it rocks his world. Insisting that Luke owes him a coffee at least, Affton finds his world further rocked when he learns why Luke left him in the first place. Can he convince Luke that he isn’t the man Luke believes him to be and that they deserve a second chance? Or will he be fated to watch Luke run away from him yet again?
Review: Working It Out by Sean Michael is part of the Office Affairs series. The Office Affairs series is a group of book by different authors about men who work in offices struggling in their relationships. Each book in the series can be read independently. I chose this book because I am a huge Sean Michael fan.
Luke left Affron without a word over four years ago. Affron spent the remaining years working on his career and not getting into a relationship with anyone else. Affron is now extremely successful. So when he spots Luke working for the company he works for it thoughts him for a loop. The chemistry between Luke and Afffron was blistering.
I found this book not just well written but extremely realistic. I loved that this book has a well-defined beginning, middle and end. Luke made assumptions as to what Affron knew and it shows how a couple needs to communicate all through the relationship even when things get tough. I loved that this book was not a typical Sean Michael book. The main and secondary characters were fascinating and genuine. Overall, this was a great book. I just wish the book were longer.
