Walking home from a late-night shift at the hospital, Amy Bennett unwittingly stumbles into the violent, mysterious world of sexy Rhys Morgan. She wants him at once, but he’s a man with dangerous secrets, and despite the explosive attraction between them, he seems determined to push her away.

One of the oldest of his kind, the intense Immortal warrior Rhys spends his nights on the streets of Chandler protecting the city from the demons that threaten to overrun it. Though strong, he now has a weakness…Amy.

His gift of premonition has always been a curse, and more so since Amy’s death has begun haunting his dreams. But she’s part of his world now, and Rhys doesn’t know how to save her, or how to protect his heart.

Review: Rhys Morgan is a different breed all together. He is a Immortal warrior and it is hard to kill them. What Rhys has is a gift of seeing things happening to people but he can only have them when they want to come not when he wants them to. He has been having dreams about a woman named Amy for a while now. He see’s that she is covered in blood and she is protecting someone. He does other things to get her off his mind until one night when he is training a new Immortal. They are so into killing demons that they don’t even know that they are being watched.

Amy Bennett is a doctor. She is feeling something missing in her life and doesn’t know what it is. She doesn’t trust or love easily. Good thing she has a twin brother who is always there to help her out. He might be a little over protective but that’s what big brother’s are for even if it is only by four minutes. Amy is walking home in the dark one night when she hears a gun go off and she runs to see if she can help. What she sees makes her believe that she is just seeing things. How do you have a gun shot wound heal quickly without using anything?

These two fight everything that they feel for the other. Amy sorta comes around faster than Rhys. That is usually how it goes. You always have to have a alpha male that is always in charge and knows how things need to go. I really loved how this book played out and it makes me want to read the rest in the series. This is not a new author for me so I knew her writing style when I first started reading. I couldn’t seem to put my kindle down. I wanted so bad to go out and buy the rest of the series but knew that I had to hold off.

I am glad when an author comes up with something new to write about. That is what keeps it interesting. I still love my vampire and wolves though. That is something I could never let go of. I would just tell everyone that this is a book you really need to read.
