Being a human in a parish filled with shifters, Colette Robicheaux has learned to be tough as nails. A hunter with the kind of lethal skills that make most men nervous, all it takes is a single hot look from Zachary Trahan to make her melt into a puddle of goo. And this tiger shifter doesn’t fight fair, using his hot body and his many skills in the kitchen to melt her panties. But there’s a danger in the swamps that threatens to tear them apart, an evil that could turn this hunter into prey.
When chef Zachary Trahan took a break from work to hunt, the last thing he expected to find was his mate. A human huntress with a hot temper, a quick trigger finger and the kind of body destined to keep him up at night, Colette makes his tiger purr. He’ll have to fight his stubborn mate, her impossible family and the threat hiding in the swamps before he can finally claim her for his own.

Review: This is one hot book about a shifter and a human. Don’t let that surprise you any because this human knows how to take care of herself.

Colette Robicheaux is part of the family that everyone says is crazy. Boy would they be surprised if they knew that almost everyone has went to college and got a great education. This family sticks together and they are there if anyone needs any help. The males are very protective of their females and they don’t like anyone coming onto their land unless they are there for the tour. Colette is a woman that can take care of herself and when she shoots her gun she doesn’t miss. She is stubborn and is quick to temper.

Zachary Trahan is a shifter that turns into a lion. He took over his grandma’s bakery and has made it even bigger. To say he likes perfection is putting it mildly. Everything has to be done right and he doesn’t trust anyone with his business. All the shifters know that they need to stay out of his way and he is quick to temper. This lion really knows how to roar and let it be heard. When he is out hunting one day and ends up on Colette’s land he gets more than he bargained for.

This book had me hungry and hot. Just to hear all the things that Zachary made, made my mouth water. I just kept imagining all the deserts that he was making and if I had a chance I would eat there everyday. I also would love to have Colette’s eyes. I like to read stories where both characters can take care of themselves but are stronger together. Both of the characters in this book have the same temperament. The passion that is between these two are very hot and just reading about it made me sweat.

There is some suspense in this book and that makes the story even better. It has just the right amount of suspense, romance, and paranormal to make you not want to put it down until you reach the end. I now want my own lion shifter. It would be even better if he could cook so I never would have to do it again.
