Every memory leaves its mark…

All Sophie wants is a tattoo to commemorate her battle with cancer. What she gets is celebrity tattoo artist Declan Ross, the same sexy bad-boy who used to rock her world. This time, they’ve both got scars and the ones you can’t see are still the hardest to cover.

Review: Inked Memories by P.G. Forte was originally published in the anthology Midnight Ink. I really liked the message in the story that it does not matter what you look like its who you are that really matter.

Sophie is a strong and resilient woman. She fought for her life and won her battle with breast cancer but it left her with visible scars. Sophie does what anyone trying to deal with the emotional and physical scars by trying to cover them but rather than get implants she wants a chest piece to cover the scars.

Declan Ross is a famous tattoo artist with his own show to prove it. He is every bit the bad boy and one of her ex’s. Declan has been out of touch so long he never even knew she was sick. It throws him for a loop.

The chemistry between Declan and Sophia is blistering. They light up the pages when they are together. Declan has a hard time dealing with the fact that he almost lost her, and seems determined to make the relationship a go. The sex was blazing hot. These two are made for each other.

I found this book well written. The main and secondary characters were interesting and realistic. I hope we get to see these characters again in the future. I read this book in one sitting, because I had a hard time putting it down. Overall, this was a fabulous story.
