A businessman by day, by night Dane stalks the streets, fighting against a rising tide of vampire-related homicides. As a member of the Order of the Dragon, he vows to fight other vampires, ones who have given in to their bloodlust. He doesn’t do it for humans-he seeks revenge, to destroy the bastards who turned him into a monster.

But then he rescues a woman who calls to him like no other. As their passion ignites and his desire for her threatens to consume him, he starts to wonder what, exactly, is worth fighting for.

Jenny’s old life ends in a parking garage. She’s reborn into a world of fantastic creatures-and unimaginable pleasures. The fierce warrior who saved her makes her feel love and lust as she’s never felt before, and she soon discovers her dark prince is not what he seems. Love, jealousy and betrayal collide and neither Jenny nor Dane will ever be the same.

Review: Whispers of Night is the first book in Immortal Embrace series by Erin Simone.   I chose this book because besides the interesting blurb it was a vampire romance book, and I enjoy reading vampire romance books.  So I decided to give it a try and I am glad I did.

Dane is a vampire who is a member of the Order of the Dragon.  As part of this order he fights other vampires who drink from humans.  Dane is a hot and sexy man who finds his mate in Jenny.  Dane is an interesting man who battles heart and what he has sworn to do. The more I get to know Dane the more interesting I find him.

Jenny is rescued by Dane when she is attached by vampires after leaving work late.  Jenny is immediately attracted to Dane.  My biggest issue with Jenny is her wavering on every decision that had to be made tend to drive a person nuts by once you get to know her background it’s easy to understand.

The chemistry between Dane and Jenny is blistering hot.  You can feel the chemistry between them at first sight.  The sex scenes were scorching.  Dane and Jenny were a great pair if they can get past their own pasts to try and make the relationship work.

This book was great the way it was.  I would not change a thing.  I found this book well written.  The main and secondary characters were interesting and engaging.  Overall, this was a magnificent book and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.  While I have not read this author before I will be looking for more books by Ms. Simone in the future.
