Paul is a cop who was injured in the line of duty trying to apprehend a perp. He’s now in the hospital recovering and his boredom is driving him mad until in walks the sexiest nurse he’s ever seen. He hopes to alleviate some tedium with a little naughtiness and romance. But unexpectedly, naughty nurse turns the tables on him. Or does she?

Review: Doctor’s Orders by McKinzie S. Heart is not part of a series but I would love to see these characters again in the future. I chose this book because it seemed like a hot short story.

Paul is recovering at the hospital after getting injured in the line of duty. He is bored with little to do other than lay in bed. I found Paul to be a hot and sexy man. I loved that he was willing to push the limits even in the hospital.

Kathryn is a nurse at the hospital where Paul is being treated. The chemistry between Paul and Kathryn is blistering. I just wish we get to know Kathryn better. The sex scenes were steamy.

I found this story was well written and I enjoyed that the story was told from Paul’s perspective. I found the main characters (there were no secondary characters) intriguing. I wish it was longer and more flushed out with details because I get the feeling that Paul and Kathryn knew each other. Overall this was a great short story. I will be keeping an eye out for more by Ms. Heart.
