shortstoryICON

When her grandmother bequeaths her a black pearl choker, Mia’s intrigued. Even more mysterious is the note accompanying the gift, telling Mia her heart will know when she should wear the necklace. And it does. As she dresses to attend a company party, Mia somehow knows it’s time to don the choker.

When Mia meets Logan at the party, their mutual lust is instantaneous. Only after the man gives her an unexpected, mind-blowing orgasm under the full moon does Mia learn Logan is vying for the same promotion she’s worked so hard to win. Despite that, their smoldering attraction remains, urging them to indulge in further pleasures of the flesh. Then they discover the small charm hanging from the choker’s clasp—a charm engraved with a love spell.

Are their sizzling desires nothing more than a magical push from her grandmother? Mia will have to take a leap of faith to discover if Logan is The One.

Review: For a story that is under one hundred pages, the characters are very well developed and don’t leave you feeling like you’re missing out on the overall story.

Mia is a smart, successful, and goal-oriented woman. She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it; especially a great position that everyone and their mother knows belongs to her.

Logan, when you meet him, is just the type of guy every woman wants – gorgeous, intelligent, and unafraid to give a woman what she wants. He isn’t exactly truthful about who he is when they meet, but that can be overlooked the more you get to know him.

Mia and Logan have amazing chemistry, which made me want to keep reading. The sex scenes – there are only two, but man are they a doozy. I found myself waving my Kindle in front of me and pulling my hair back after reading!

I hesitate to classify this as erotica only because there’s so much more than just sex to this story. It’s about a love so powerful that you just KNOW that you’ve met THE ONE…even with the help of Grandma’s gorgeous black pearl necklace.
