A Feast of Flesh and Blood

Amelia was nothing more than a common barmaid who happened to be engaging in a secret love affair with the king’s son. Naivety, desire and those brilliant green eyes sparked their nighttime encounters, but she begins to press for more from her perceived knight in shining armor.

His honey coated words convince her to wait longer, but Fate has something else planned for the sensual Amelia. She finds herself leaving her lover’s arms to be taken unwillingly into the jaws of the Wolf King.

Her desire for freedom is strong, until she begins to find new exciting pleasure in the bloodthirsty creature who bought her life for a few coins. Each sensual encounter strengthens the bond she shares with her inhuman lover; however, such powerful affections come with a high price. Amelia finds herself at risk as dangerous rivals try to intervene. Her new life begins to spiral out of control when the past finally catches up with her and demands retribution.

Review: When I first started reading this book and it has a couple having sex right away, I knew I was going to get a hot read.

Amelia is a commoner that has to do what she can to survive. So when she is kidnapped and taking to the wolf clan she does try to escape. King Josef is the wolf kind and has fallen for Amelia. That puts her life in danger and he will do whatever he can to keep her safe.

What I was taken on was a very dark and twisted journey. It had hot sex and betrayal. I was left saying what in the heck happened. I started reading with such promise and ended being upset about the ending. I can’t believe that it ended that way and that things happened like that. I guess I am the happy ending kind of girl and this book is not a happy ending.

I was feeling pretty bummed and I didn’t want to give this book a bad review, when I found out that this is a series so maybe things will look up in the next book. I am willing to try the next book just to see if there is a good outcome or I will just have to remember the bad in this one.

I’m not saying that you shouldn’t read this book. I will just say there are some good as well as bad in this story. I ended up not liking Amelia at the end. I will warn you that this is a pretty dark read.
