Jen: I know it’s been a couple months since our last Romancing the Blog guest. But we’re back and we welcome Franny from Mind Reader. How did you get into blogging?
Franny: I actually have to thank Prince William and Kate for this, it’s because of their inspiration that I had the push to start a book blog.
Jen: What makes your blog unique in a large sea of book blogs?
Franny: Probably my blog is a tiny little fish in this huge sea, but I’d like to think I’m special somehow. I don’t like to follow the crowd (lol, probably that’s why I’m still small, haha), and do the same thing that everyone else does, but it doesn’t mean I’m not worth the look.
Jen: What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a part of the blogging community?
Franny: To be honest with you, I’m very grateful for review copies. I think sometimes people forget how special they are to be getting them, since they are taken for granted. I am also happy to have virtually met lots of wonderful people. Not everyone turned out to be a good one, but the few that stuck around, are wonderful and I love them loads.
Jen: What’s been the highlight of your blogging experience?
Franny: Mind Reader has changed so much since the beginning, thanks to the people I’ve met along my journey. But I’d like to think that it’s started being on its best since I launched my own business last November.
Franny: Uhm, that’s a tricky question! However, I’ll never stop recommending The Demon Trapper Series by Jana Oliver. She’s an awesome writer and the series is packed with action, romance and demon-ass kicking! What more could you want?
Jen: Do you have any news about your blog that you’d like to share with us?
Franny: Yes! Right today, I’m hosting the cover reveal of Ash-Eater’s Fugue, Anno 2021 by Kim Koning, organized by Dark World Books! And in April I’ll be hosting a stop for the tour of Fractured Soul by Rachel McClellan. There will be more tours, but this is all I can say for now 😛
I’m always on the lookout for bloggers, so if anyone’s interested in appearing in my Blog Of The Week feature, just email me!
I also feature authors, so if anyone’s interested in a promo/spotlight/interview, etc, check my review policy and send me an email.
Last, I’m raising money for a copywriter course, so I’d love if people could take a few minutes to have a look at my page and hopefully make a small contribution. All the info can be found here.
Jen: Will you tell us a little more about the people behind the blog?
Franny: Sure! My name is Franny, I’m Italian but I’ve been living in UK since 2008. I love book blogging and cooking. Last November, I launched my own business, Dark World Books, a company that offers boutique services for independent and published authors. It’s a very stressful job, but I love it!!
Jen: Is there anything you’d like to ask our readers?
Franny: Thank you for taking the time to read this interview, hope you’ll decide to check my blog out and follow me. Also, if you love hosting book tours, please check out Dark World Books, it’s a great company!
