Romancing the Blog: Fictional Candy

Fictional CandyOur Romancing the Blog feature is back and today we’re interviewing Liz from Fictional Candy.  And in fact, we’ve swapped blogs today.  If you’d like to learn more about RtB and Jen, go check us out over at Fictional Candy… and we have contests at both blogs!

Jen: How did you get into blogging?
Liz: I had been reading, and I just finished Twilight and the Black Dagger Brotherhood.  None of my friends had any other suggestions for me, and I just started Googling.  Quickly it led me to a few book blogs, and it was just a matter of days before I decided I needed in on the action.

Jen: What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a part of the blogging community?
Liz: I’ve been a part of many different online communities through the years, whether it was for gaming or crafting, or just local people.  Book bloggers and everyone associated are by far the nicest and friendliest of them all.  I have not met a single person who wasn’t open and helpful.  And I have made some truly wonderful friends all over the world, that should I win the lottery I am totally visiting them all!

Jen: What’s been the highlight of your blogging experience?
Liz: Really, its just been meeting all of the other readers, bloggers, and authors.  Before I started blogging I had no idea this world existed.

Jen: If you had to recommend one book to our readers, what would it be and why?
Liz: I have been extremely addicted to everything zombie lately so I would recommend one of my very favorites –  Taking On The Dead by Annie Walls.  But then, if romance is more what someone is looking for I would probably suggest something from Eve Langlais, cause I just adore every word she writes.

Jen: Will you tell us a little more about the people behind the blog?
Liz: It’s just me!  I work full time and raise a daughter full time, and blog… and that seems full time too! It definitely is a challenge, but anything worth having is worth working for!

Jen: Is there anything you’d like to ask our readers?
Liz: I would love to know your book recommendations and favorites!

Thank you so much for having me over to Romancing The Book!

  1. There are so many awesome books to recommend but one of the ones I have just finished up has been Clutch by J.A. Huss. It is a really awesome series that will have you laughing, crying and hating people all at the same time. It’s really good!
