“All our dreams can come true – if we have the courage to pursue them.” – Walt Disney

I’ve always been a girl with big dreams and high hopes.  One day, I set out with the idea of making a film called Blissful Lies… which turned into a feature film shown at the Cannes Film Festival.  This showing led to a worldwide distribution deal with YTINIFNI and will be released on television, DVD and on-demand after the first of the year.  Later on, I set out with the same gleam in my eye—only this time my project would be turning Blissful Lies from a screenplay to a novel.  It was extremely challenging.  But the idea of the novel led to an incredible fan base, an Amazon bestseller and a career in the literary world.  So, it seems Walt Disney hit the nail on the head when he claimed all our dreams could come true…

Creating the Blissful Lies world was such an invigorating experience.  When it came to the research for various aspects of the storyline, it was pretty straightforward. All along I had an idea of exactly what it was I wanted to implement and where I wanted to put them—so researching direct terms and synonyms is always prevalent in storytelling.  But specific to this book I researched items ranging from the weather in California at various points during the year, St. Barts, Chancellor Positions at a number of universities and specific terms reflecting the vast age difference between the two main characters.

Blissful Lies is a very strong, character driven story, so I enjoyed exploring the plot and conveying its message to our audience. I hope you’ll tune in for the DVD release of the film on April 9th and stay tuned for my upcoming novel, Vindictive Grounds. It’s been called the next “Fifty Shades of Grey,” which is very flattering on my part.  Admittedly, my second novel required an exorbitant amount of research.

Thank you all for having me, also, stay tuned for the Blissful Lies sequel, which will be out next year.

Watch for more novels from Jennifer – the next on its way is Vindictive Grounds. In February, Jennifer will begin directing the film version of this novel. She says, “It definitely has more of the explicit sexual contact comparable to Fifty Shades of Grey.

    Jennifer –

Congratulations on your success with Blissful Lies. Most readers don;t realize the amount of cretivity of wriitng a screenplay and even more the work that then goes into turning it into a novel. Both genres of the story demand a different approach becuase while one shows the impact of a scene and in the other you must paint a picture so the reader can picture the scene in their own mind.

To successfully be able to both is amazing at such a young age. Congratulations to a wonderful kick-off to a long career in both the written word and making it come alive on the screen!
