Feedburner is going away…. now what?

For those of you who either own blogs or follow a number of them, you’ve probably been hearing a lot about Feedburner of late.  So what is Feedburner?  It’s a Google owned product that many blogs use to allow you to follow our blogs either by RSS or email subscriptions.  Romancing the Book has been using Feedburner for years, but now we’re being told that as of October 20, 2012, some of it’s features will no longer be in service.  So, instead of taking our chances of not having any service at all, we’re looking for an alternative to Feedburner.

So what does this mean for you?  Well, as of Sunday, October 7, if you subscribe to our current feed, you *may* have to come back to RtB and resubscribe.  We’re signing up with FeedBlitz and all our RSS subscribers are supposed to transfer, but nothing is fail proof.  We will be doing emails thru a different program, and those subscribers *shouldn’t* see a change in service as I can import your addresses.  However, if you don’t get your daily email by the middle of next week, please email me at admin.bookblog@gmail.com so I can look into it.

I’m not techie by any means, so please bear with us as we make these changes.  And we will continue to keep you in the loop.
