Everlena doesn’t usually go out with friends, but when she joins them on a whim, she meets Mika, a man as mysterious as he is delectable. Can Everlena trust the wild stories he tells her or should she run from the menace that follows him?

Mika, Fey-King of the Unseelie Court, seeks the princess of the Seelie Court, and is shocked to find her living life as a human. Even more shocking is that she has no clue his world even exists. Mika must get Everlena to safety while convincing her that a union between her light court and his dark court is the only way to end millenniums of violence.

With danger around every turn, will Everlena be able to leave her mundane life behind and take her place as a princess of the Seelie Court? Or will the feelings blossoming between Everlena and Mika get in the way?

Review:  Everlena works in a library and is a quiet, stay at home kind of girl. However there’s something very different about her. Mika is a drop dead sexy hero, but he’s not your average guy. He is Fey-King of the Unseelie court.

Everlena decided to do something she never does, she enjoys night out with her friend Phaidra and husband Amir and some of their friend. This night out will change her way of life forever.

More excitement is on the way as Everlena’s enemies, the faerie’s assassins, pursue her. Will Mika save her, or will the assassins have their way?

This is a wonderful, short story, and a quick read. With a solid plot that is action-packed and full of suspense. Everlena is thrown into a world she knows nothing of and changes her forever. I do not believe that she was looking for love but found it in a way that was breathtaking. Mika is not what I would expect from an Unseelie King. His caring and kindness to Everlena is what every girl wants in a guy. The connection between Everlena and Mika is just magical. It’s my feeling that they were born to love each other. I found myself smiling a lot while reading. The secondary characters bring spunk and humor to this tale. I love tales of the Fae and I think this one hits spot on. As I was finished reading I instantly want to hear more of this wonderful world that Heather Kuehl has created. I do hope in the future there are books to satisfy my want for more. A perfect one sitting read!!!!
