Aliens, are they among us? You know, that’s a good question. Throughout my life, there have been people I’ve met that I’ve seriously wondered what planet they’ve come from. I’m sure I’m not that only one who’s had that thought, but seriously, could aliens really be living among us undetected?

I think several things would have to be true for this to be a possible scenario, which is how I came up with Luxen and Arum life form, which by the way, is a play-off  of good vs. evil. Those words are Latin in origin.

  • Appearance

They’d have to look like us, obviously. Or at least be able to pretend to look like us. If they were giant brain eating insects or little green men, they’d be spotted way too often.

  • Superior Physical Abilities

To change their appearance, they’d have to have a superior DNA structure than us. In my head, they’d almost be like chameleons, able to blend physically and adapt to their surroundings.

  • Intelligent Life form

They’d have to be smarter than the average human. For one thing, they’d have to be able to travel to Earth with little to no detection. They would know how to blend and adapt socially. They’d have to constantly live on the guard, protecting their secrets, so they wouldn’t be prone to making stupid mistakes. Then there’s the whole traveling through space. They have to be more advanced than mankind to do that

  • Government

The government would have to know. And the government would also keep the existence of aliens a secret, whether or not the aliens lived on Earth or if there was just prove that aliens existed. We humans tend to riot and go crazy whenever faced with the unknown. So it’s a good thing if we don’t know any better.

So if aliens had those four things behind them, then I think it’s possible they could live among us. However, I doubt we’d be lucky enough to have a super-hot race of aliens living next door to us. We’d most likely get stuck with the giant insects that eat humans type of aliens.

ONYX Synopsis:

  1. Jessica Russell says:

I think it’s possible. Why would we be the only life forms in this vast universe? Thanks for the giveaway!

  2. Cathy Wilson says:

I totally think there could be aliens. Why should we think that we are the only life forms in the universe. It is so big, and we have such a small planet.

  3. Pat says:

Its not possible that aliens are among us…unless they’re like spook ghosts. You thought you saw something but nothing’s there.

  4. I think so! I mean, who knows what came to Earth before our technology was advanced enough. 😉 And we can’t be the only living things in the entire universe. There has to be something else out there.

  5. Maria D. says:

I don’t really think aliens live among us or would want to live among us. If they are intelligent enough to travel here without our knowing it and travel the great distances – our lack of knowledge would probably drive them nuts – what would we have to converse about? Thanks for the giveaway!

  6. Valerie says:

Definitely possible! HUGE Trekkie here. ♥ It’s hard to fathom that in a world this large we’d be the only beings able to enjoy its’ vastness.

  7. Jillian Omerine says:

Good question!! Hmmm… I do not think that aliens are among us on Earth considering how far away fertile planets are but.. I will not rule out that someday they could coexist with us. My reasoning for not necessarily believing in extraterrestrial beings on Earth is that there is no solid proof but with all the years to come we cannot rule out that we are the only living beings out there. 🙂
    Thank you for the giveaway!

  8. erinf1 says:

thanks for a great post and giveaway! Congrats on the newest release!!!

I don’t believe there are really aliens 🙂 But it’s fun to read about them!

  9. whitewolfreads says:

I definitely believe there are aliens out there but among us? I don’t think we’re that interesting…

  10. Makayla says:

It’s totally possible aliens exist. Due to the nature of physics and the universe, our knowledge is very, very, very limited. Which means there’s a lot out there we don’t understand and simply don’t know about.

  11. Maria pronounced Mariah says:

I’m betting there is something among us. Whether that is aliens, ghosts (which my mother swears to), angels or something all together different.

  12. Maribeth Guarino says:

I’m not sure. I mean, I’m a huge fan of Star Trek and Star Wars and I love the movie “V” (despite the not-so-hot aliens involved) but I don’t think aliens are here among us on Earth. It would so wicked cool though if Daemon was real and I met him in the flesh!

  13. Cheryl says:

I think it would be really arrogant of us to think we’re the only intelligent (and I feel I should be using that term loosely) beings anywhere, but I don’t think aliens are living among us. If they look like the guy on cover (and don’t have any plans to enslave, kill, etc. us), though, I’m all for them visiting Earth!

  14. Barbara Elness says:

I’m honestly not sure if aliens are among us or not. I think it’s possible, because I think if we were to discover other worlds we might keep a low profile while we checked things out, so why wouldn’t they.

  15. Well, it’s definitely possible…BUT, I don’t believe they are. Unless, they are super good hiders, I’m sure someone must have figured them out.

  16. Maureen says:

I don’t think there are aliens among us because if there were I am pretty sure that the TODAY show would have an exclusive interview.

  17. Margay says:

I wouldn’t go so far as to say they’re walking among us, but I think it’s more than possible they exist. How, in a universe as vast as the one we live in, can we be the only populated planet?

  18. Carin W says:

I say anything is possible, I am not arrogant enough to say that Earth is the only place in the entirety of space with sentient beings. Carin

  19. Tara A says:

Sure. There’s very little we know compared to what we don’t know. It’s entirely possible they
could be walking around, looking and acting like everyone else, if you’re intelligent enough to travel through space you’ve got to be skilled enough to keep your identity hidden.

  20. Aza Saku says:

I think its possible that there might be other life forms out . And if they are made of light I am completely ok with that. 🙂

  21. Emmalee Giantomasso says:

I don’t see why not, it’d be egocentric to assume we are the only beings in the universe.

  22. Stephanie W. says:

Thanks for the awesome giveaway! I guess there’s a possibility that there are aliens, but I don’t really believe in them.

  23. latisha depoortere says:

I do not think so I do love to read about the paranormal! Thank you for the great giveaway!

  24. leannessf says:

I think there are aliens in outer space, but not necessarily here on Earth yet…

    Thanks,
    Leanne

  25. alicia marie says:

I definitely think there are aliens out there somewhere. I don’t know that there are actually any on Earth at the moment. Of course, if there were would we really know? Thanks for the giveaway : )

  26. Deana says:

There are many many things in this world that are not understood or can be explained . It would not suprise me one bit if we had Aliens walking among us. You can never judge a book by its cover. By the way the covers are awesome!!!!

  27. Damaris says:

I don’t think so, but I love the idea of it. It would be so interesting to know others are out there living among us that aren’t humans. That we could possibly interact with them on a daily basis and be completely oblivious to their existence. So cool.

  28. J Snachez says:

Not a chance, they’d take one look at us and die laughing ! Hopefully they’d set their clock for another thousand years and check back.

But reading that type of fiction sure is fun.

  29. Jen B. says:

I know aliens are among us. NO, I don’t wear tin foil hats. I just think it makes sense that we aren’t the only ones in the universe. Plus, if you watch Dr. Who, you know that bees are aliens! (Wow, that probably makes me sound like I need that tin foil!)

  30. Diane Sallans says:

I’ve always thought it rather self-centered to think we are the only intelligent life in the Universe, so I do think it’s possible.

  31. Chelsea B. says:

I think anything at all is possible, so, yes. And frankly, if they are, I hope no one ever finds out, because can you imagine what kind of crazy would erupt? Yikes!

  32. JennyC says:

I do think there are aliens because there can’t just be one living race, humans, out of the WHOLE universe.

  33. There has to be aliens among us. I think they are far superior in the intelligence department and know how to blend in and also not be identified.

  34. Jolene A says:

That’s a tough question. I believe in Aliens but I would like to think they look nothing like us. If they are among us, I would hope they couldn’t blend in. lol
