In the fantasy world of Tallenmere, no one ever said love was easy…

Serenya Crowe may be a half-elf commoner, but she’s no ordinary woman. With the ability to interpret dreams, and a birth defect that forces her to wear gloves, she’s endured small-town gossip and the cruelty of her husband, Sebastian, The Earl of Summerwind. All she’s ever wanted is to live a quiet life and raise a family. When she meets the new stranger in town, her world and her heart, are turned upside down.

Wood-elf Jayden Ravenwing is an ex-secret agent who wants nothing more than to forget matters of the heart. He left the bustle of Leogard and his failed marriage to make a fresh start in Summerwind. He never planned to fall in love again, especially with the enchanting Serenya Crowe.

When a strange portal opens on the Crowe property at the edge of town, Jayden is thrown into an investigation, knowing that if he fails, Serenya and everyone in Summerwind may die.

Together, he and Serenya must overcome an ancient evil, and their own inner demons, to save Summerwind and find the love they’ve always dreamed of.

Review: Ms. Parker takes us on another journey into the fantasy world of Tallenmere; as we pick up where A Ranger’s Tale left off.

Serenya grew up being raised by her step-father, Douglas Barnaby. He took her, after her mother dies in child birth and beings try to kidnap her shortly after she was born; running away to keep her safe from those that tried to kidnap her, raising her as his own. Only knowing that she was half wood-elf from her mother’s side. Not knowing her father was left her with secrets that she needed to unravel. She inherited a tremendous talent as an artist/musician, along with the ability to interpret dreams. Serenya was born with a mark that maybe marked her as a child of destiny…her legacy was lost.

Years later we find Serenya married to a tyrant of a husband, Sebastian-Earl of Summerwind. Serenya soon finds herself torn between her husband and the handsome wood-elf Jayden Raven wing that has come into her life with secrets of his own.
Unable to interpret her dreams her life seems to start spinning out of control as her pasts dark secrets about her true identity force her to have some really horrible dreams. The attraction to Jayden becomes uncontrollable as well as her hunger to feed starts to consume her.

As she continues her quest to help her understand her past, we not only see Serenya’s physical beauty, but we get a feel for her free spirit, strength and how smart she really is making her a very complex yet interesting person.

Jayden, charming and handsome and very sincere is ready to lay down all that he is for Serenya. He finds he loves her with an unconditional love as they both fight their own dark demons from the past in order to save Tallenmere.

Serenya and Jayden along with many others find that by working together they have a chance to not only save Tallenmere but also find love with each other.
We learn that when you work together you can accomplish anything.

A story filled with action-adventure-passion-dark secrets all the while as they try to rid their world from evil. Ms. Parker gives us a world filled with special plants, animals, humans and half-humans. I loved her first book A Ranger’s Tale, but Serenya’s Song brings more depth to the world of Tallenmere, the characters have evolved and are more rounded and fleshed out making them seem more real.

I say to those of you that enjoy romance and fantasy to pick up a copy of Serenya’s Song. As you read Ms. Parker’s new story you just might find yourself peering into the woods and looking for the mystical world of Tallenmere.
