Carla McBain was just an ordinary sixteen year old girl, until one late night in October; Carla was murdered in her dorm room. Carla was scared until Oscar and Daryl meet her on her return to the Islands, to meet her parents. After confronting her, they realise that she is a new Immortal. After staging her death, the pair convinces Carla to return to their Holy Ground, where they tell her everything that they know. They train her until the day comes that the Islanders grew suspicious of her presence there within the Old Viking Temple.

Deciding it’s safer to leave, they head out into the night in search of someone else who can tell them the truth about why they are Immortals.

What will they find? Can Oscar and Daryl survive outside of the Temple with a young Immortal? How did they end up Immortal and why are they protecting her? What happens when she meets her first love who is responsible for her being Immortal in the first place?

Review: This was the longest 46 pages I have read in a really long time. Quick facts to getting a book published. Most publishing companies require you to submit a synopsis of your entire book. So even if you haven’t written the ending, they know what is coming and how you plan to finish it. If they are not a fan of the synopsis, forget them getting to read your book. I feel like this entire novella was a synopsis for a greater story. There was so much condensed into paragraphs that I was racing to keep up. In a bad way. Randomly the POV changed for about 5 pages. Odd. Towards the end of the story, the editing got worse and worse. There were words missing and the punctuation needed LOTS of help. It just made a hard to read story, so much more difficult. I had a hard time finishing it. I will not be reading the upcoming books. Now with that said, I think this author can do something with her stories. With an editor to give more time the book, and A LOT more fleshing of ideas and expansion of the stories, I think they have potential. But right now, seriously, don’t waste your time.
