Librarian Cambrie Brasher has been given an ultimatum—win the grant for the library or lose her job. To accomplish the task, Cambrie needs a man. Not just any man, a military man willing to be her pen pal. Thanks to an old friend, Cambrie connects with Miller Daly, a sexy Navy SEAL who ignites her sensual side and promises to make her hottest dreams a reality. Lieutenant Miller Daly has been haunted by dreams of a woman he’s never met. Thanks to the machinations of his former commander, he’s saddled with some frumpy librarian who wants to be his cyber pal. What he really needs is a cyber siren TO take his mind OFF his mission and give him the opportunity to play out some of his most erotic fantasies. Cambrie is no frump and she shares Miller’s interest in a hot affair. Unfortunately, he’s always in another corner of the world and Cambrie is devoted to the frail aunt who raised her. They must steal every steamy moment together, but how long can the fires of their passion sustain them?

Review: Cambrie is your normal run of the mill average librarian, smart, funny, helpful and friendly, but she harbors a deep secret. She needs a man in her life or should I say her bed, only he is not to be the normal missionary kind, no she wants to experience all the outrageous fantasies she has bouncing around in her head, the kind she has only read about in her erotic novels from the library.

She keeps the secret fantasy to herself, tells no one and carries on with her job and also taking care of her elderly sick Aunt Annabelle. That is until her boss gives her the order to take on the “adopt a soldier project” which entails you to keep in contact with a soldier on a regular basis basically keeping his hopes and dreams alive while he is half way around the world fighting the bad guys. What I like about Cambrie is that she is a go-getter.  She does not just back down, she fights to the bitter end.  A very strong female character in any book always makes for a good read.

So with the help of her friends she makes the cyber acquaintance of Lt Miller Daly who immediately tells her in no uncertain terms thanks for wanting to “adopt” me but no thanks. After all he has been having restless nights for over a year now with some gorgeous woman tempting him to the ultimate of sexual fantasies every night! But as I said Cambrie does not give up and reaches her goal and poor Lt Daly is blown away.

He immediately emails back giving her his full permission for letting her “adopt” him. The cyber “adoption” soon turns in to more than just “how are you”, “what are you doing” emails. A full blown out sexual back and forth flirtation takes place and neither Lt.Daly or Cambrie can control themselves and the conversations get hotter and hotter.

If you are not into wild, crazy kinky sex games then this book is definitely not for you, if however, like myself, you can manage to look past this and see the story of two lovers who has a beautiful chance at life then you will not be disappointed. Christina James has a really unique and interesting approach of telling a lover’s tale.

However, there was one thing about the book that did annoy me, the swearing. When it comes to dirty talk between the characters certain sentences are acceptable but the author does go overboard in certain scenes that not only made me cringe, but also made me think twice of wanting to continue the read. The passion between Miller and Cambrie would still be just as hot without so many swear words. I also feel the author could have given us a little more action when describing Miller’s missions, just that little bit of real hero action would have been nice. But swear words and lack of information aside it is overall a good read.
