Blake Harrison:

Rich, titled, and charming… And in need of a wife by Wednesday so he turns to Sam Elliot who isn’t the business man he expected. Instead, Blake is faced with Samantha Elliot, engaging and spunky with a voice men call 900 numbers to hear.

Samantha Elliot:

Owner of Alliance, her matchmaking firm, and not on the marital menu… That is until Blake offers her ten million dollars for a one-year contract. All she needs to do is keep her attraction to her husband to herself and avoid his bed. But Blake’s toe-curling kisses and charm prove too difficult to combat. Now she needs to protect her heart so she can walk away when their mercenary life together is over.

Review:  Books on marriage of convenience always grab my attention ,it is a thrill to see which reason is used to ensure the marriage and a even bigger thrill to see how the couple has to deal with their new adjustments in life, and even more fun to see how their relationship evolves to one where they simply cant live without each other !

In Wife by Wednesday by Catharine Bybee we find all of the above and even more! Catharine is a new author to me but I am not at all unhappy about finding her. The book was definitely a great read and a keeper.

Now the story revolves around Blake Harrison who needs as the title says a wife by Wednesday but not just any kind of wife,he needs someone who he will not be remotely attracted to and can keep to herself and not cause his life both personal and professional to come crashing down.

On advice he approaches the matching firm of Sam Elliot who in is minds eye is just a typical business man who will assist him in finding his wife for the next few months. But upon meeting Sam Elliot he is blown away, the typical business man is not typical at all and also NO MAN! Instead Samantha Elliot is a gorgeous, no nonsense ,make my own way in life woman.

Samantha is at first not impressed with her new client at all, first he has a reputations that she finds least of all impressive and him and his charming I can get any woman I want attitude does not grab her attention in any way.

But as the story progresses we find that Samantha and Blake are bound to end up together as first their is the unmistakable attraction that no one can miss, but it also seems Blake recons that securing the services of Samantha as his wife will prove more than helpful and if he can entice her into his bed all the more delicious !!! So Blake offers Samantha 10 million dollars. Now I know what your thinking ,with Samantha ‘s is a no nonsense I ll make it on my own woman just like I said so for which possible reason will she grab at the chance to take the money and suffer the heart ship of being married to the simply gorgeous sexy as sin Blake for a few months?

The answer is one of pure desperateness and no other choice as it will mean a end to her problems. Now the answer is one I am not going to reveal as I do not want to spoil this incredible romance for anyone and I will only advise you go out and grab a copy of the book yourself for you will not be disappointed.

In Wife By Wednesday we see romance blossom in a delicious way unlike I have seen before in a marriage of convenience story, it’s a fun.entertaining and upbeat read!

Catharine has a simply delicious, sexy sense of writing style and I am adding her to my list of have future reads.
