Angelina knows the meaning of a hard life. Searching for a place to belong, she finds more than she bargains for with Devin Clark, a well-known drug dealer, pimp and gang-banger. Angelina Monroe slips from existence, replaced by Angel─cocaine addict.
Jonah Stark has learned to stay clear of town. Instead, he survives atop a mountain on land owned by members of his community—one where everyone has a secret. Jonah and his people are shapeshifters.

Icy roads along the mountain side and a deadly tractor-trailer accident brings Angel’s attempt to escape her life and the man who holds her in that life to an abrupt halt. Jonah finds her lying injured and unconscious in the snow and takes her in, but not everyone in the small community of snow leopard shifters puts out the welcome mat for the drug addicted, human female.

Beginning the long road to recovery, Angel opens her eyes to life without drugs and Jonah vows to keep her from ever turning back. She stirs something within him, making it impossible to let her go. But, how far will he go when her past returns to claim her?

Review: When I read the blurb for this title, I was struck with curiosity. For the most part my reading of shifters has followed the course of human turns to werewolf or bear, period. Seeing that this story was one that took shape in the form of snow leopards, I was intrigued.

I love the leading man Johan. If I could take him from the pages and recreate him for my personal use, I would do it (shhh, don’t tell the hubby). Angel’s story is one that has a beginning and middle like others I have read. She grew up moving from one foster home to the next until deciding to take off. Not many have read in up in the arms of a beautiful man who can – oh by the way change into a snow leopard.

If you are looking for a few good “guys” to fall in love with, grab yourself a copy of this book. A great book to show that love can happen at first sight, and even those that may seem tough and unable to love, can find love when they least expect it. I do so hope to see a follow up book written. I would love to see what is going to happen with everyone as well as see what the future holds for the one and only Abby.
