Judy Nickles is a retired teacher who decided to reinvent herself as a writer. With two published books, Where Is Papa’s Shining Star? and Finding Papa’s Shining Star (2010 from The Wild Rose Press), a third, The Showboat Affair, due out in April 2011, also from TWRP, and a fourth contracted by Champagne Books (2012), she knows the importance of a review and is happy to be associated with Romancing the Book in that capacity. She prefers print books (because she is old) but is happy to read shorter ebooks. Genres accepted: romance, historical, mystery and suspense. Fade-to-black love scenes preferred. Remember — she is OLD and hates to have to stop and look up words that weren’t in the dictionary when she was learning to read. She has two beautiful granddaughters, a worthless mutt who is more spoiled than the babies, and is having her adolescent rebellion 50 years late.
As for her favorite book, she guesses she will have to go with The Christmas Bride by Grace Livingston Hill because she has an OLD copy and reads it every year at Christmas.
